Egyptologists have recovered how did the ancient Egyptians believe how the universe was formed. Due to lack of astrology back in the times, they had no idea that the Earth was a sphere in shape. As the matter of fact, they believed that the Earth was a flat land as what has described in the movie 'Gods of the Egypt, 2016' I watched earlier. Flat Earthers detected!
The story begins with a great chaotic ocean.
Then, the Benben (a pyramid-shaped mound that is believed can revive all things on Earth) emerged from the chaos of the ocean along with a lotus flower. As the flower blossomed, brought the God, Ra to the world and light came with him. Ra by himself generated the first generations of gods, and so; Shu (God of Air) and Tefnut (Goddess of Rain) were born.

Ra, God of the Sun
The universe was enrapt by a vast mass of primordial waters (the ocean). So, Shu and Tefnut plunged into the waters to explore its immensity. After a long period of time, Ra felt afflicted after realizing that their children were away for a long time and feared never seeing them again, so sent his messenger to find them. After his children had returned safe and sound, Ra's joy was so immense that human beings were born from his tears. After they returned, they generated Gabe (God of the Earth) and Nut (Goddess of the Sky) (and pronounced as noot). With that, the Earth and the sky were created.
The Great God, Ra sovereignly ruled the universe's power and was the first to hold the title 'pharaoh'. He gifted Egypt with several sacred animals like the lion and ox, but the greatest offering was the creation of the Nile River as around its shores, mankind could build a civilization glorifying the gods. However, Ra had a premonition that his grandchildren would give birth to a new generation of gods who would put an end to his reign and so, he forbade the sky and the earth to have any offspring whatsoever but Gabe and Nut disobeyed.

Beginning of the civilization from the Nile River.
Gabe and Nut gave rise to powerful offspring; Isis, Neft, Seth, and Osiris. They dethroned Ra and Osiris started to reign over the world.

The early generations of Ancient Gods
Seth was envious of his brother's throne and was so eager to take all power for him causing Osiris to feel not safe with his throne and so the saga of the Egyptian Gods began.
So short yet such magnificent story of Ancient Egypt. As far I believed, along with the dynasties, more gods, goddesses, and deities were born continuing to reign over mortals (such as Horus). With that, mortals had built a vast number of temples over time for worshipping.
Thank you so much for lending your time to read this. I will surely post more when I have the time. Feel free to check out other stories, videos, and articles I have posted.
